Born and raised in the Kootenays, Travis developed a passion for sports and movement early in
life. He realized his childhood dream when he was selected and signed by the Milwaukee
Brewers during the 2007 MLB draft. Unfortunately, he sustained an elbow injury which required
surgery and more than 10 months of physical rehabilitation.
This experience sparked his
interest in physiotherapy and a desire to better understand how to prevent and treat
orthopaedic injuries.
Travis would go on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at UBCO in Kelowna
(2020) and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at UBC in Vancouver (2022). He believes that
movement is truly medicine and combines this principal with hands on manual therapy
techniques and education to help clients achieve their goals.
Prior to launching Stimulus, Travis provided physiotherapy services at UBC Hospital in Vancouver and more recently as a private practitioner in Kelowna. He has a special interest in injury prevention, human motor control, athletic performance
and sustainable training methods. When not in clinic, he is likely playing golf, training or
searching for the best coffee and food in Kelowna with his partner Taylor.
